Dr. Ami Herbstrith is from Sherman, Illinois. She attended Eastern Illinois University and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. She then attended Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois where she was president of her class for three years.
She was awarded a merit scholarship and graduated with her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine in 2000. She completed her post-graduate training at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
There, she was awarded the Chief Resident of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery her final year. Following her residency, Dr. Herbstrith practiced in Monmouth, Illinois with OSF Holy Family Medical Center for eight years. She was the Chief of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, Chair of the Surgical Committee, and the Coordinator of the OSF Holy Family Podiatry Clinic. She recently has moved to Memphis, Tennessee and joined Mid-South Foot and Ankle Specialists.
Dr. Herbstrith is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. She is also a member in good standing with the American Podiatric Medical Association.
In addition to general foot and ankle care has a special interest in sports medicine and diabetic foot care/limb salvage.
Dr. Herbstrith and her family reside in East Memphis. She is married, has two children, and a black Labrador retriever. She enjoys spending time with her family and loves the outdoors.
